Alexis was raised in Batavia, Illinois, where her love for art began at a young age. She attended Waubonsee Community College for 1.5 years as a general art major before deciding to pursue her passion for tattooing.
In May of 2021, Alexis began her tattoo apprenticeship and dedicated herself fully to mastering her craft. By 2023, she proudly became a full-time tattoo artist.
In 2024, Alexis took a leap toward independence, moving to a private studio to continue growing her skills and vision. The following year, in 2025, she began renovations on Obsidian Ink — her dream tattoo studio. After three months of hard work and transformation, Obsidian Ink came to life as a space built with passion, creativity, and a deep love for the art of tattooing.

Alexis' goal for Obsidian Ink is to create more than just a tattoo shop- its a space where everyone feels comfortable, inspired, and truly heard. weather its your first tattoo or your fiftieth, we want you to walk out feeling confident, seen, and obsessed with your new piece.

Casey Dean @caseydeantattoz
Casey was raised in Batavia, where his passion for art began at a young age, inspired by his mother — a local school art teacher. He started tattooing five years ago and has since built an impressive portfolio that spans across multiple states, including Illinois, California, and Florida.
Alongside being a full-time tattoo artist, Casey is a devoted father to two beautiful girls. He specializes in black and grey, line work, cover-ups, and hand tattoos — though he truly enjoys creating art in all styles

Jorel Gls @jorel_gls
Jorel has always had a deep passion for art and creativity. Before picking up a tattoo machine, he spent years expressing himself through painting- a love that still inspires his tattoo work today. He began his tattooing journey in 2019 and has been dedicated to perfecting his craft ever since. Outside of the studio, Jorel enjoys spending time with his family and exploring new places.
Jorel is a versatile artist who kills it in black & grey, realism, dark calligraphy lettering, and fine line work!
